Week #15 - Day 2

The tapering continues. Was scheduled to do a 5 mile run but ended up stretching it out to 6 since I was feeling very good. Dug out the heart rate monitor for the first time in weeks since I didn't want to over-exert and kept it near 75% of max for most of the run. Finished in 56:12 (9:22 mile pace) which was pretty good for holding back. Went to the towpath and headed north and fortunately did not encounter any swarms of dragon flys like last time. The weather was great. I can only hope this lasts a couple more weeks. I'm scheduled to have another 3 miler and my last long run of 8 miles this weekend. Only 9 days until the Akron Marathon!
